So, the electrical system short-circuits with the electrical tampering, and the camp lights are dead, temporarily. Emergency power should return quickly. Just then, there is a rapping at the chamber door. I slice through the wall and get the crap out of there.

Thats not gonna work.This is not some shoddy space station out of some sci fi b movie.Try to short circuit a building using just a screw driver and from within one of the apartments and youll see what I mean.It just doesnt work.Not to mention the fact that it is day,so even if you succeeded it wouldnt do anything.

Its not an underground instalation,it is a huge area covered with various buildings for personel and weapons.Each building has its own power transformer,and emergency power supply.The only way you could black out the whole base would be with a huge EMP blast.

How about you roll your luck so you could go back to before you tried such a weak bluff and attempt something a bit more thought out?

Yeah,but since I said he cant do it,the whole roll is kind of pointless.Besides,the other alternative is him trying to fight the whole base full of soldiers.

You manage to do it perfectly,and the guard immediately leaves towards one of the drones and starts inspecting it with weapons on the ready.Youve bought yourself some time and freedom of movement.

While that would work,first there are still two guards near the tank.Second,its the coolant for the mainframe,one you were ordered to tamper with,not destroy.

If you want,you can go with that roll,which would be your sneaking past the two remaining guards(so with your +1 to brains,and +2 from previous success,and with -2 because there are two guards,youd be on borderline success.That means youd have to repeat it,but with just +1 from your brains(no -2 and no +2)).After that,it would be easy to pull out the pipes.They arent exactly state of the art.

So that's double effect on pulling the pipes out? I pull them out two at a time. They weren't even screwed in, so it's frankly surprising how the just didn't fall out.

No,you barely managed to sneak,so that roll was repeat for sneaking.And with +1 it was brilliant.

And the pipes are easy to pull out anyway,no need to roll for that.

Suddenly,you hear a message being broadcasted:"The coolant is leaking!I need to shut down!Repair me,quick!"

The three guards are quickly scramblin around,trying to put the pipes back in,while you sneak away.The drones slowly stop and power down.The asembly line also powers down.The guards have put the pipes back in,but the coolant has leaked too much for the mainframe to remain operational.The three start going all around the island looking for something(probably more coolant liquid).

Nope,its out.Thats why everything else except for the three large robots isnt working,And while you can easily see a usb port connected with the tank,you see no switches that might turn the computer back on.

Also you are amazed by the amount of liquid needed to cool this computer,since that technology was made obsolete almost half a century ago.

They dont look very advanced.Sure arent modern military bots.You could probably beat two of them at once,but not all three.Lucky for you that they all went in separate directions.Although the island isnt that big,so they would soon group around if you attack any of them.

Also,you might want to inform the military that they can come in.Though youd have to choose the frequency carefully so these three dont pick it up.

Even with my Use bonus and my previous roll, that's still a bad failure. So in character:
Using ROT-13 was bound to be a mistake. The guards know I'm still here.

Sure.But roll for initiative first(1d20).You have +5.After that,you can roll for damage you did(I accept your roll of 7,but first lets see when it comes into play).

There is just one soldier with you in the room,but there was a guard outside.

So here is the initiative roll for the soldier in the room(with +2):
