Priscila:"Ok squad,pack up and lets get to Caen.We will arrive at 2 am the next day,so we shouldnt encounter any hostiles.But I still want you all prepared to storm out and destroy anyone foolish enough to attack our vehicle."

I pick up my stuff and put it in the truck, then try to get to sleep.

I'm already in the truck, not really paying attention.

Priscila:"Private Yakuna,get us to Caen straight away."

Once the channel has been passed,the APC starts rolling on dry land.However,the franks dont really like someone just driving around,especially not in an expensive vehicle,so there is a chance of an ambush(1d6 ambushes,that is):

1 Heavily dug in 5 guys,with a rocket launcher
2 5 guys with a trench
3-4 3 guys and a trench
5-7 5 guys with a road blockade
8-10 4 guys with a road blockade
11-14 3 guys with a road blockade
15-19 nothing
20 nothing but 1xp each

So lets see how many:

Once the party reaches Caen,Priscila wakes up everyone else,and orders them to stay alert and ready to charge out of the vehicle.She also orders Nik to go around the town and towards Le Mans.While rounding Caen,APC reaches a road blockade.When it stops,Priscila orders the team to exit the vehicle and look around for any signs of enemy."Shoot to kill boys."She also orders Nik to warm up the turret,and shoot at anything that moves around.Priscila stays in the back,while Hugh and Mel go to guard the sides,and Muscle is going to the front to examine and remove the barricade.

Suddenly,5 armed men jump out of their covers,shooting at the squad(2 at the back flanks,2 at the front flanks,and one from behind the barricade).Their initiative is(with +2):

So,its 20 for the right back guy,4 for the left back guy,18 for the front right guy,7 for the front left guy and 16 for the guy behind the barricade.

If I'm a ghost, though, don't I get to transcend time and space or something? And if I do encounter mediums and such, I'll make sure no one believes them by spouting malarkey about "peace and harmony in the universe".

No.You just can fly tirelessly.You move at the speed of something between a walk and a run,and you can pass through walls.You cant pass through earth,however,because it is riddled with insects and such.

Yeah,but see,you are in the APC,meaning you are in the center of the ambush.You are about the same distance from each of the attackers.
